About the Position
Acropolium, together with its international partner, is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Developer to join a project focused on developing and enhancing embedded Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications.
You will work on Linux-based embedded systems, building reliable and scalable HMI solutions using Qt/QML and C++, while collaborating with an international engineering team.
Project Details
- Start Date: September 1, 2026
- Duration: 80 working days
- Workload: Full-time (5 days/week)
- Location: 100% Remote
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance embedded HMI applications using Qt/QML and C++ in Linux environments
- Implement new features and improve existing software components
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in embedded systems
- Integrate backend services and hardware interfaces into embedded HMI applications
- Design, maintain, and execute unit tests for Qt/QML and C++ applications
- Participate in source code management using Git workflows
- Design scalable and maintainable Qt/QML application architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle
Requirements
- At least 2 years of commercial experience in embedded software development
- Strong experience with Qt/QML development
- Solid knowledge of C++
- Experience working with Embedded Linux
- Good understanding of Git workflows
- Experience writing C++ unit tests
- Hands-on experience developing embedded HMI applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work in distributed teams
Nice to Have
- Advanced experience with Qt/QML application architecture
- Advanced C++ programming skills
- Experience with Qt/QML unit testing
- Advanced Git workflow knowledge
- Experience with CAN Bus
- Experience with J1939 protocol
- Experience integrating hardware interfaces and communication protocols
- 5+ years of experience in Qt/QML-based embedded development environments
