Responsibilities

As an Embedded Developer, your key responsibilities will include:

Performing firmware development in specialized areas using C, C++, and Rust.
Writing unit tests and conducting code reviews.
Identifying areas for code improvement.
Collaborating with other embedded systems developers, engineers, and internal technical teams to determine project architecture and constraints.
Conducting comprehensive testing and code reviews to ensure adherence to industry coding standards.
Debugging firmware issues and keeping up-to-date documentation for all areas of responsibility.

Requirements

Experience: 3-5 years in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems (RTOS) and Linux.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of programming languages (C/C++/C#) in an embedded software context.
- Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and design patterns common to resource-constrained systems.
- Hands-on development and troubleshooting experience on embedded targets.
- Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and component data sheets.
- Experience working with SQL, encryption or cryptographic modules, and a solid understanding of underlying electronics affecting firmware development.
- Experience programming in Rust and proficiency with modern scripting languages like bash, Python, or TCL is highly valued.
Education: Post-secondary Diploma/Degree with a specialization in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure within a flat organization.
