About the Position
Embedded Software Application Engineer
LOCATION: Göteborg, Sweden
COMPANY: One of the world's leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, marine and industrial engines.
CONTRACT: B2B for 1 year, could be extended.
Responsibilities
As an Embedded Software Application Engineer within our Propulsion System Control team, you will:
- Perform functional development including requirement breakdown, software design, documentation, implementation, testing, and verification.
- Specialize in a technical domain such as Vehicle, Electro mobility, Powertrain control, Control Theory, or Mechatronic.
- Develop features for the embedded software application to control the final request for propulsion or retardation from the driver of the vehicle.
- Distribute the driver's request to one or several electric motors and control the gearbox in combination with the electric motors during gear shifting.
- Integrate the electric motors, gearbox, and control system to create a fully functional system with good performance, drivability, and serviceability on the aftermarket.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
- 6+ years of experience in embedded software development, TargetLink, Simulink, programming in C-code, Python, Ascet, SystemWeaver, and requirement management.
- Vehicle or automotive experience, possibly a C-driving license or similar from other industries like trains, aircrafts, ships, robotics, etc.
- Experience with virtual testing and verification.
- Experience from full-scale testing in vehicles.
- Good teamworking and communication skills.
