Embedded Software Application Engineer Expert

As an Embedded Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the development of the main Swedish Automotive OEM’s telematics product and services in the embedded environment. You will be responsible for building an information system that communicates with vehicle systems and a back-office system, with a focus on Fleet Management, Uptime services, and other connected services. This role offers the opportunity to be part of an exciting new technology transformation and contribute to the development of the future vehicle connectivity platform.
Responsibilities
- Sharing knowledge with colleagues and contributing to communities of practice
- Driving investigations on new technology
- Carrying out requirement-and subsystem verification tasks with the team
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent education/experience
- 10+ years of experience in modern C++ development
- 7+ years of experience in product development within Telematics or related knowledge area
- Proficiency in Python and Yocto/Open embedded
- 5+ years of experience in software architecture
- Experience with Embedded Linux, basic configuration, applying patches, and debugging
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
- Experience with communication protocols (such as MQTT), Concept development, REST API, the Android operating system, and Adaptive Autosar
- Experience in the automotive or telecommunications industry
- Meritorious experience in SOME/IP, CAN/CAnalyzer, security practices, SIL/HIL testing, and working with agile principles
