About the Role
We are seeking an Energy Storage Consultant to join our team in Bangalore, India. The candidate will have experience in designing, testing, commissioning, or operating utility-scale battery energy storage products or projects. The role involves expertise in several fields including:
- Core Skills:
- Lithium-ion battery system design and testing
- Electrical design of battery-based energy storage technology
- Secondary Skills:
- Civil, structural, and electrical designs of battery-based energy storage projects
- Applicable standards, codes, guidelines, and regulations
- Fundamental aspects and main characteristics of current battery technologies
The BESS Consultant will work with a team of consultants, project managers, technology suppliers, and contractors to deliver high-quality and cost-effective BESS solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Design, test, and commission utility-scale battery energy storage systems
- Prepare FAT and integration test plans for BESS systems
- Manage bids and projects throughout their life cycle
- Tendering process and bid evaluations for BESS project investments
- Collaborate with a team to deliver BESS solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's and/or master's in relevant Engineering field
- Fluent in English
- 3-8 years of experience in the renewable or power grids systems industry
- Proven track record of delivering complex and challenging projects
- Experience in client management, team management, and process management
- Project management and strong interpersonal skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in the BESS industry
- Familiarity with relevant standards, codes, and regulations for BESS systems in India and internationally
