About the Position
Engineer FPGA PLC Scada
Fulltime
Location: Rijswijk
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining software applications for advanced measurement systems. You will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to transform functional requirements into reliable, high-quality software solutions. From initial concept through deployment, you will play a key role in design, implementation, testing, and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement software solutions for advanced measurement and control systems
- Convert customer and system requirements into robust software and hardware designs
- Collaborate with specialists from multiple engineering disciplines
- Perform testing, validation, and quality checks prior to release to end users
- Deploy software solutions at customer sites and provide technical support when required
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documentation and user manuals
- Contribute technical expertise to project proposals and solution concepts
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, preferably in a high-tech environment
- Experience with electronics, FPGA development (VHDL), PLCs, SCADA systems, and/or embedded systems programming
- Strong proficiency in Python and C/C++
- Experience with software development tools and methodologies such as Git, UML, Qt/PyQt, and software testing frameworks
- Hands-on experience with command and control of sensors and/or actuators
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for troubleshooting and developing innovative solutions
- Ability to learn independently and rapidly acquire new technical knowledge and skills
- Comfortable working both independently and proactively within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with customers and colleagues from diverse technical backgrounds
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including clear technical documentation
