This role is essential to maintaining Honor Games’ disciplined, high-standards development culture.

  • Support the studio’s transition into multi-project development
  • Prepare engineering infrastructure for publisher conversations and growth

Requirements

  • Strong experience as a Programmer, Technical Lead, or Engineering Manager
  • Deep understanding of game development pipelines
  • Experience with Unity, Unreal, or both
  • Ability to architect systems and maintain large codebases
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Minimum 12 months working on a team
  • Leadership maturity and technical discipline

Nice to Have

  • Experience overseeing multiple engineering teams
  • Familiarity with Jira, Git, CI/CD, and production tools
  • Experience in volunteer or rev-share environments
  • Ability to foresee technical risks and propose solutions
  • Background in systems architecture or technical direction

Commitment

  • 10–15 hours/week
  • Must be responsive via smartphone
  • Weekly leadership meeting: Wednesdays, 6 PM PST
  • Tools: Google Drive, Jira, Slack, Zoom, Git
  • Must log hours for revenue-share calculation
  • This is a volunteer rev-share role - applicants must have stable income

What You Gain

  • High-level technical leadership experience in a functioning, structured studio
  • Direct collaboration with the Founder/CEO
  • Influence over the technical direction of multiple projects
  • A central role in shaping Honor Games’ engineering culture
  • Professional networking and industry exposure
  • A meaningful leadership position in a growing studio

If you want to help build the technical backbone of a multi-project studio - and lead the engineers who bring our worlds to life - we’d love to hear from you.

If you’re looking for a casual or low-responsibility role, this is not the right fit.
