About the Position
Engineering Manager (Taipei)
Taipei
Engineering / Management / Full Time / Hybrid
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership and intellectual rigor.
- Leverage your background in system design and engineering to guide technical architecture and code quality.
- Partner closely with US-based product, design, and executive teams to align on vision and delivery.
- Lead hiring efforts in Taipei to scale the engineering organization, implementing necessary structures and processes without sacrificing speed.
- Handle and re-prioritize a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment, turning challenges into opportunities to level up.
Requirements
- A background as a former engineer with a deep understanding of system design.
- 5+ years of experience in Engineering; 2+ years minimum of experience managing engineering teams.
- Proven experience in a fast-moving startup.
- High English and Mandarin proficiency to communicate effectively with a global team.
- A total willingness to work flexible, nightly hours to collaborate with our U.S. team.
- A clear leadership philosophy and the ability to mentor leads and scale structures.
- Experience in Fintech, Marketplaces, or Healthcare is a significant plus.
