Equity Accounting

About the Position

We are seeking an Equity Accounting professional to manage stock-based compensation accounting and ensure accurate financial reporting under U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate will be based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, and will ensure compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements, while partnering closely with the HR and Legal teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain stock-based compensation schedules, including option grants, RSUs, ESPP, and performance awards.
• Ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting for all equity-related transactions in accordance with ASC 718 (Compensation – Stock Compensation).
• Manage and reconcile the equity roll-forward, including tracking of shares outstanding, exercises, cancellations, and forfeitures.
• Work with external platforms to maintain the integrity of equity.
• Partner with HR and Legal teams to validate grant data and ensure completeness and accuracy of equity.
• Calculate and record monthly/quarterly journal entries, including SBC.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls.

Requirements

• MBA Finance / CPA (preferred)
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to equity or compensation.
• Strong hold in MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and meet tight reporting deadlines.
