ER Nurse (PRN)

About the Position

Join our Exceptional Crew PRN as an ER Nurse in Maricopa, AZ. Provide direct patient care in emergency settings with a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting.
• Triage safely, rapidly, and accurately every patient that enters the emergency care system.
• Communicate with Emergency Department physicians about changes in the patient's status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies.
• Perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.
• Use triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients and accurately assign triage categories.
• Monitor the hemodynamic status of the patient and correctly interpret the results.
• Maintain current knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and his/her clinical condition.
• Maintain accurate and continued nursing documentation, including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses, and assessment of changes.
• Interact professionally with patients, including involving the patient and family in the formation of the plan of care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• At least 2 years of ER or ICU experience.
• Current nursing license and certifications – BLS, ACLS & PALS.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Schedule

• Day Shift 0700-1900
• Mid Shift 1000-2200 or 1200-Midnight
• Night Shift 1900-0700 with 17% shift differential
