About the Position
Generative Bionics is a deep-tech company building humanoid robot platforms to deploy human-centered Physical AI. We design intelligent, capable machines that work alongside people in real-world environments - developed in Genova, Italy.
We are looking for an Events and Communication Specialist to join our communications team. You will help bring our technology to the stages that matter: scouting and selecting the right trade fairs, conferences, and client-facing events, supporting external and internal events from planning to on-site execution, and working with the communications team and the wider company on the materials, messaging, and follow-ups that surround them.
Responsibilities
- Scout and monitor trade fairs, conferences, exhibitions, and industry events relevant to the company, in Italy and abroad;
- Evaluate and select event opportunities based on audience, strategic fit, visibility, and budget, and share recommendations with the communications team;
- Build and maintain the company's event calendar, tracking application deadlines, calls for speakers, and registration windows;
- Support event logistics with the internal function: booth and space booking, suppliers and materials, shipping of demo equipment, and on-site coordination.
- Liaise with organizers, suppliers, and partners before, during, and after each event, and support the team on site;
- Coordinate with the communications team to make sure all the materials needed for each event, such as slides, briefings, videos, and printed collateral, are ready on time and consistent with the brand;
- Support event-related communication activities, from invitations and pre-event announcements to social media and press content and post-event follow-ups;
- Prepare in collaboration with the communication office strategic documents, project proposals, presentations, and qualitative and quantitative reporting, consolidating results, feedback, and key learnings from each event to support future activities;
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Political Sciences, or equivalent technical background;
- Minimum 2 years in event organization or a related communications role, agency, or in-house;
- Client & Internal Event Expertise: Hands-on experience running both internal company meetings and offsites and client- or customer-facing events (e.g., user conferences, client advisory boards, sponsored summits, roadshows);
- Proficiency with project management and event planning tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Eventbrite) and the Microsoft 365 suite; familiarity with budget tracking and supplier management;
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage several events and deadlines in parallel, and a practical, problem-solving approach, especially on site;
- Good writing and presentation skills for invitations, announcements, briefings, proposals, and reports; comfortable liaising with organizers, suppliers, partners, and senior stakeholders;
- Language: Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken;
- Mindset: Organized, proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment;
- Willingness to travel for events in Italy and abroad, including occasional work outside standard hours during events;
Valued Extras
- Experience organizing events for a tech, scientific, or B2B brand;
- Familiarity with the robotics, deep-tech, or startup ecosystem and its main industry events;
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva) for event materials and invitations;
We Offer
- The opportunity to work in a cutting-edge deep tech company, in close contact with world-class engineers and researchers;
- Informal, fast-paced, and meritocratic environment with quick decision-making and Agile methodologies;
- Contractual framework (CCNL Metalmeccanico) commensurate with experience;
- Concrete opportunities for professional growth;
