Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching, and developing the operative team of "Shared Material Planning" and "LOG Supplier Mgt." at Ahmedabad.
• Setting up/optimizing long-term material plans according to market forecasts/consumption/capacity.
• Effective negotiation with suppliers to ensure material preparation and capacity reservation.
• Escalation management (second level) in case of supplier delivery issues (functional support by PkP MRP planning manager).
• Responsible for KPIs and targets defined by DC-MH Central Logistics.
• Responsible for related material projects to optimize the supply chain and improve supplier delivery performance.
• Supplier management, annual logistics agreement (consignment stock, SA, LT, EDI, TLV, supplier evaluation, etc).

Requirements

• Team leading skills and a minimum of 5 years of team leading experience.
• Bachelor's degree, major in Mechanical, Trading, or Logistics preferred.
• Profound knowledge and experience in MRP II/SAP, MM, lean logistics, Pull System (incl. Kanban and Supermarket).
• Familiar with MS Office, good at PC skills, and good knowledge in SAP material planning.
• Logical and Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) thinking.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Open personality, team spirit, and active communication skills.
• Honest, responsible, able to work under pressure.
• Problem analytical skill and problem-solving.
• Relevant working experience including production or project management preferred.
• German language skills would be an advantage, but are not a mandatory requirement.
