About the Position
Executive Director, Global Supply Planning and Framework
We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team at HARMAN Automotive as the Global Supply Planning and Frameworks Director. This role is pivotal in translating customer requirements into global supply planning strategies, managing an annual volume of approximately 3.8 billion dollars, and optimizing material inventories of around $700 million.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Global Supply Planning organization with end-to-end accountability for strategy, governance, execution, and capability development.
- Define and execute the global Supply Planning vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Serve as the executive owner for global supply planning processes, standards, policies, and performance management frameworks.
- Provide leadership and governance for the global supply planning organization, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Act as the primary Supply Planning representative within the Automotive leadership community.
- Establish and optimize global supply planning capabilities, methodologies, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Own the global capacity and material constraint management framework.
- Lead executive-level escalation management for critical supply risks and business continuity challenges.
- Drive strategic supplier collaboration and engagement programs.
- Establish supply chain requirements and performance expectations for the supply base.
- Govern global allocation management, shortage management, and supply risk mitigation processes.
- Drive organizational excellence through the definition, measurement, and continuous improvement of global Supply Planning KPIs.
- Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- Own the development and enhancement of SIOE and production planning standards.
- Oversee supplier supply performance governance.
- Lead strategic management of supply change scenarios.
- Sponsor crisis management and business continuity activities.
- Build and maintain a world-class Supply Planning organization.
Requirements
- Strategic supply chain leadership: Proven ability to define and execute global supply planning strategies.
- Supply Chain transformation expertise: Demonstrated success leading transformation and continuous improvement programs.
- Deep supply chain knowledge: Strong understanding of supply planning, inventory optimization, supplier performance, capacity management, and emerging best practices.
- Automotive supply chain experience: 8+ years of experience in Automotive Supply Chain consulting.
- Data-driven decision making: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Executive stakeholder leadership: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Change leadership and influence: Ability to influence senior leaders and align cross-functional teams.
- Global team leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing, multicultural teams.
- Supply chain technology and digital transformation: Proficiency with SCM technology and digital solutions.

Pay Transparency
The annual gross base salary range for this role is € 170,000 - € 220,000. Variable compensation and allowances may also be available, dependent on the position offered. Pay is determined using objective, job-related criteria such as relevant experience, skills, role scope/responsibilities, and location-based market factors.
