Experience Designer

About the Position

We are seeking an Experience Designer with 2+ years of experience to lead design system discussions and develop user-interface specifications.

Responsibilities

• Drive the vision for developing, communicating, and implementing the Design System.
• Lead design system discussions and decisions with the design team and other stakeholders.
• Guide the design and development by prototyping and writing guidelines for new components, patterns, and animations.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to build right-fit solutions.
• Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns.
• Organize and conduct user testing to validate the usability of the design system patterns.
• Audit and evaluate design system usage across applications, identify gaps and problems in the design system, and propose solutions.
• Create and maintain processes for scaling, updating, managing, and evangelising a design system.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role.
• Strong ability to communicate design ideas using sketches, flow diagrams, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in a cross-functional team environment.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks under minimal direction.
• Excellent collaboration skills and familiarity with technical constraints when designing for software platforms.
• Proficiency using FIGMA for design and prototyping.
• Experience working with design systems.
• Solid Visual/UI Design skills.
• Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with product management and developers for the implementation of designs.
• Knowledge about platform UX design standards and guidelines.
• Highly organized, strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
