Are you passionate about artificial intelligence? In the J-Science team at JAKALA, we work every day to transform these technologies into concrete and high-impact solutions for companies. We are a center of excellence with offices in Milan, Turin, Rende, and Rome, and we deal with Data Science, Generative AI, Platform Development, and Location Intelligence, designing advanced software with state-of-the-art technology.

From Large Language Models applied to text, images, and voice, to semantic search, passing through speech technology and predictive analytics: we innovate to create real and accessible value, in complex and challenging contexts.

We seek the best solutions to real problems of our clients, integrating applied research in the AI field with solid architectural expertise. We use the most advanced LLMs on the market, both SaaS and OnPremises, to develop modular and innovative projects and products, whether they are proof of concepts or core platforms. You will contribute to the development of products that use analytical pipelines, predictive models, and solutions based on structured data (e.g., territorial, transactional...) and unstructured data (e.g., documents, audio recordings...) with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and technologically advanced context.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of customer requirements and identification of opportunities for applying Generative AI
• Design, planning, and development of solutions based on Generative AI services, using open-source or proprietary models/libraries
• Selection, use, and fine-tuning of generative AI models
• Creation of rapid prototypes (fast prototyping) for the validation of solutions
• Integration of AI solutions developed with existing business systems (e.g., websites, CRM, knowledge bases, etc.)
• Engineering solutions to make them scalable and market-ready
• Collaboration with the team to ensure technical consistency and strategic vision of the product
• Contribution to the continuous improvement of development practices and Gen AI architectures adopted

Requirements

• Degree preferably in scientific subjects (Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Big Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related fields)
• Previous experience of 1-2 years in the role
• Solid knowledge of Python and/or Java
• Solid experience in the use of LLMs and in particular transformers models (e.g., Bert, Gpt...)
• Experience in experimenting with agent frameworks (Langchain, Autogen...)
• Experience in fine-tuning LLM models and training transformer systems with supervised approaches
• Good knowledge of the Spring framework or equivalent Python frameworks
• Good knowledge of integration topics, particularly REST API
• Knowledge of microservices architectures
• Knowledge of Design Patterns and principles of testing and software design
• Knowledge of Bash scripting languages
• Knowledge of SQL
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker systems
• Knowledge of search engines (Solr, Elastic Search, Lucene, etc.)
• Message queueing system (e.g., Apache Kafka, Rabbit MQ)

💰 Remuneration

For this position, the gross annual salary is between €25,000 and €36,000. The salary proposal will be defined within this range based on experience, skills acquired, and seniority level consistent with the role, applying objective and neutral criteria. The Commerce - Tertiary Sector Collective Agreement applies.
