Experienced Statisticians, Policy Analysts, and Data Experts

About the Position

We are seeking experienced Statisticians, Policy Analysts, and Data Experts to join our team for the production and modernisation of official social statistics. This role is part of the "Technical services for the production of official statistics” (SPOSS LOT2) framework contract, working for Eurostat, Directorate F – Social Statistics.

The positions may require relocation to Luxembourg, Belgium, or Germany. Please note that only candidates based in the EU are eligible.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the production and modernisation of official social statistics
• Work closely with Eurostat, Directorate F – Social Statistics

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent (ISCED 7) in statistics, economics, social sciences, or comparable background
• Minimum 2 years of experience (preferably 5 years) in the field of official statistics with a focus on social statistics
• Knowledge of data platforms and statistical tools such as SAS, SQL, R, SPSS, Python, Power BI, etc.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including advanced Excel

Nice to Have

• Knowledge and experience with specific tools used in European statistics production, e.g., SDMX, MDT, etc.
• At least one publication in the field of social statistics
