Join NN as an Expert Underwriter Property and contribute to a strong and profitable Property offering for entrepreneurs and self-employed individuals. As an Expert Underwriter, you will combine your content expertise with market insights and actively contribute to the growth of our portfolio.

Responsibilities

As an expert, you will play a key role in both product development and underwriting:

• Collaborate on the development and optimization of Property products for small businesses and self-employed individuals, and propose enhancements to improve underwriting quality.
• Serve as a bridge between Product Management and operational teams, translating insights into concrete product improvements.
• Analyze, assess, and accept risks within the Property sector, ensuring a well-founded risk assessment.
• Work closely with colleagues in the production department to achieve a consistent and uniform underwriting approach.
• Build sustainable relationships with brokers and clients, acting as a reliable contact person.
• Stay updated on industry developments and continuously expand your knowledge.
• Support colleagues on complex files and actively share your expertise through coaching and collaboration with internal stakeholders (such as sales, claims, underwriters, and business partners).

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Property insurance for the business segment. Knowledge of other relevant products in this segment is a strong plus.
• At least 2 years of experience as an underwriter in this segment, either at an insurer or broker.
• Familiarity with the business insurance market and the broker landscape.
• Combine an analytical approach with customer and results orientation, and take initiative.
• Strong communication skills to convince stakeholders.
• Fluent in Dutch and good knowledge of French and English.
• Team player, eager to learn, and open to change.
• Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably with a technical background (e.g., architecture), or equivalent experience.
