About the Position
We are seeking an Experte Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) to join our team in Hanau, DE for a 6-month contract role. The role involves providing independent consulting and project services in the field of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) for the Heraeus Group.
Responsibilities
- Creation of the Consolidated Group Risk Report: Conduct risk collection and consolidation of risk information provided by the Operating Companies (OpCos) and regions, ensuring completeness, evaluation consistency, and potential duplicate entries. Aggregate individual risks to create a consolidated risk view and prepare the Group Risk Report by April 2027.
- Risk Workshops: Independently design, prepare, and organize risk workshops with the Operating Companies. Develop workshop materials, moderation concepts, and presentation materials for structured risk identification and evaluation. Document and summarize identified risks, evaluations, and action recommendations.
- Risk Register Harmonization: Analyze and compare risk registers of central functions and Operating Companies for overlaps, evaluation differences, and potential duplicate entries. Document identified discrepancies and develop a consolidated proposal for risk harmonization and assignment.
- Development of Enterprise Risk Management System: Analyze the existing risk management methodology, including evaluation logic, risk categories, and key risk indicators (KRIs), considering recognized standards and best practices. Develop optimization and improvement proposals and create a draft for updating relevant methodology and governance documents.
- Consulting Services for ERM Tool Introduction: Develop and maintain a technical planning concept for the ERM tool introduction, including work packages, technical dependencies, milestones, and identified risks. Analyze project progress from a technical perspective and create status assessments, risk evaluations, and action recommendations for the client.
Requirements
- Must-haves
- Several years of professional experience in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), risk controlling, or corporate governance
- In-depth knowledge of common risk management standards and frameworks (e.g., COSO ERM, ISO 31000)
- Experience in conducting group-wide risk assessments and risk consolidations
- Proven experience in preparing risk and management reports at the company or group level
- Experience in moderating and conducting risk workshops with departments and management stakeholders
- Knowledge in developing and improving risk evaluation methods, risk categories, and key risk indicators (KRIs)
- Experience in aligning and harmonizing risk registers of different organizational units
- Experience in transformation or implementation projects in the field of governance, risk & compliance (GRC) or Enterprise Risk Management
- Experience in the technical support or introduction of ERM or GRC systems is advantageous
- Experience in the technical creation of requirement specifications, test concepts, and acceptance documentation
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with risk management, GRC, or ERM systems
- Knowledge of reporting and analysis tools is advantageous
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
