As a Consultant or Senior Consultant, you will join our Valuation Modelling and Economics (VME) team within EY-Parthenon. As part of a global team of 10,000 professionals in 100 countries, you will advise clients on preserving, optimising, raising, or investing capital. You will support clients regarding valuation matters in various contexts including for transactions, portfolio assessment & optimisation, restructuring, and strategic planning.

This is a hybrid role based in Boorloo - Perth.

Responsibilities

• Work within project teams to undertake valuations of businesses, equity interests, financial instruments, and intangible assets.
• Support the delivery of valuation projects, including preparing valuation models and reports.
• Think critically, identify issues, and propose strategies related to the advice being provided.
• Train and support junior team members to build both their technical capabilities and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree and approximately 2 to 3 years of related work experience.
• A degree in finance, economics, accounting, or business, with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Direct experience utilising various valuation techniques and methodologies (cost of capital analysis, market comparables, discounted cash flow, etc) for different purposes.
• Experience in financial modelling in MS Excel and related software preferred.
• Experience conducting valuations for accounting and/or tax planning purposes is desired.
• Excellent analytical, communication, organisational, interpersonal, and teaming skills.
