We are seeking a Senior Fabrication Supervisor for coating and inspection work in the heavy duty/offshore industry in Belgium.

Responsibilities

Primary Role: Oversee that our client’s Technical Standards are adhered to and assist suppliers in delivering products safely, in good quality, and on time.
Secondary Roles: Supervision and inspection work for other disciplines (welding, NDT, assembly work, material logistic, etc).
Work Location: Smulders Fabrication Yard in Arndonk, Belgium.
Work Schedule: Flexible working hours around inspections during the week to respect the normal working time of 40 hours per week. Occasional spot checks and inspections can happen during weekends but must be aligned and approved by the Fabrication Manager prior to taking place.
Reporting: The position will report to the Fabrication Manager(s) for Secondary Steel who are based in Denmark (will visit site every 1-2 months or when needed).

Qualifications:
- Coating Fabrication Inspector / Fabrication Supervisor: Frosio level III / NACE Level 2-3 / ICORR Painting Inspector Level 3 (additional qualifications for VT / NDT will be a plus).
Experience:
- +10 years of relevant work experience from heavy duty / offshore industry (fabrication yards, pre-assembly, or construction sites).
Skills:
- Technically strong, adaptable, works well individually as well as in teams, strong communication abilities.
- Good English skills – reading, writing, and verbally.
Personal Attributes:
- Flexibility to work around a schedule and be on site when needed (to be coordinated and agreed upon with our client’s Fabrication Manager).
- Hardworking, honest, straightforward, with an ability to build up a good relationship with customers, co-workers, and company management.
- Ability to interact and supervise in an internationally diverse environment.
- Team player.

A laptop and phone will be provided for work use.
Candidates must bring their own working clothes including PPE (safety work shoes, safety helmet, safety glasses).
