About the Position

Fachkrankenpflegerin / Fachkrankenpfleger (m/w/d)

Join the Bundeswehr as a Fachkrankenpflegerin or Fachkrankenpfleger. Provide critical care in various departments of a military hospital.

Responsibilities

• Work on different stations in a Bundeswehr hospital, such as Anästhesie-/Intensivpflege, Psychiatrie, Operations-/Endoskopiedienst, Onkologie, or Hygiene.
• Support the preparation, execution, and aftercare of anesthesia.
• Take independent responsibility for care processes in intensive care or in your respective specialty.
• Monitor the hygiene status in nursing, diagnostic, therapeutic, and supply-technical areas of the hospital.

As a Fachkrankenpflegerin or Fachkrankenpfleger, your specialty determines your deployment location, such as in the operating room or in anesthesia and intensive care. You prepare patients, assist doctors, plan procedures, and care for patients after interventions.

Requirements

• German citizenship and at least 18 years old (17 years with parental consent).
• A secondary school diploma for the Feldwebel career. Alternatively, you have successfully completed secondary school and a vocational training.

Important qualities include empathy and a sense of responsibility, as well as a meticulous and independent working style. Empathy is particularly important during operations to alleviate patient anxiety. High psychological and physical resilience is also required, as the profession is physically and mentally demanding.
