Your Responsibilities

As Fachliche Leitung | Security Operations (m/w/d), you will take on the overall technical responsibility for our Security Operations Team (SecOps) and steer its development in close coordination with the management and the IT Director. The goal is to develop, implement, and continuously optimize a sustainable cyber-security strategy in line with organizational developments and current trends. The development of the team also includes networking with our partners and regular exchange with stakeholders.

Your tasks will include:

• Building and developing a SOC, including the necessary technical solutions and platforms
• Coordinating the introduction of new technologies and security solutions in close collaboration with other IT departments and the IT Director
• Developing IT security standards and processes, considering current trends and risks
• Ensuring the stable, secure, and efficient operation of all network and security services – from firewalls and VPN solutions to network architectures, SIEM, and SOC
• Initiating, leading, and implementing cyber-security projects of strategic importance
• Creating and maintaining runbooks or playbooks together with our Business Continuity Management as a basis for the manual or automated handling of security incidents
• Ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements and active participation in audits (e.g., ISO 27001)
• Continuous improvement of security monitoring
• Identifying and analyzing security events and incidents as well as managing and supporting IT security incidents
• Technical leadership and development of the SecOps team in all operational and strategic matters, including technical authority over all team members of the Security Operations Team

Your Profile

• Completed training as a Fachinformatiker:in für Systemintegration (m/w/d) or a completed degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or IT Forensics
• Long-standing professional experience in IT security, ideally with leadership experience
• Extensive knowledge of network architectures and IT systems
• Extensive experience with IT security tools such as SIEM, SOAR, Firewalls, IDS, and NDR, as well as frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK
• Certifications in IT security (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA CySA+ or CompTIA Security+ etc.) desirable
• Passion for IT and IT security as well as interest in new technologies
• Strong communication skills and assertiveness
• Cooperative leadership style
• Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and implementation strength in optimization and change measures
• Willingness to travel for events and working groups
• Very good German and good English skills

Requirement: Willingness to undergo a security clearance (SÜ1 / SÜ2)
