About the Position

The Computer Science Division at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-SZ) aims at building a world-class interdisciplinary research and educational center for data science. The Computer Science Division belongs to the School of Data Science which has over 100 faculty members, many of whom have experience at top-tier universities and significant international impacts in their fields. The school is now inviting extraordinarily qualified candidates to fill multiple tenured/tenure-track/teaching-stream positions at all academic ranks.

We welcome experts in all areas of Computer Systems (including architecture, HPC, security, software engineering, OS, networking, databases, etc.), Artificial Intelligence, Theoretical Computer Science, and interdisciplinary areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead research projects in the field of Computer Science.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses effectively.
• Mentor and guide students in their academic and research endeavors.
• Collaborate with other faculty members and research units within the university.

Requirements

• Hold or expect to obtain a Ph.D. degree in a relevant field.
• Ability to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• For tenure-stream positions: Demonstrated scientific creativity and leadership with externally funded and highly visible research programs.
• For teaching-stream positions: Demonstrated record of teaching accomplishments and leadership.
