About the Position
We are looking for passionate and experienced freelance Features Authors to join the Android Police team. If you have a deep love for technology, particularly Android and smart home devices, and can create original, high-quality content, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Choose article topics and research/write original features, hands-on experiments, and deep dives.
- Pitch 3-5 unique article topics to our Editorial team weekly.
- Deliver a minimum of 12 published stories per month.
- Follow Android Police’s general Editorial Guidelines while producing unique and high-quality content.
- Produce articles in a timely manner to ensure the latest industry news and most interesting content are always available to our loyal readers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience producing tech/consumer features for established outlets.
- In-depth familiarity with and fierce passion for the Android ecosystem, smart home hardware, and E Ink devices.
- Hardware on hand: Current Android devices (Android 14+) and relevant gear for your specific beat.
- Experience with SEO practices and a custom CMS.
- Solid media contacts and bylines at major tech outlets are a significant plus.
