About Job
As a Field Application Engineer, you are the vital link between our engineering lab in Germany and the operational environment in Ukraine. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a technical expert who thrives in the field. You will serve as the primary technical Point of Contact (PoC) for our customers, leading the charge on system testing, complex integrations, and the successful execution of pilot programs.
Responsibilities
- First user: You’ll be the lead alpha tester for both internal prototypes and customer-facing products, providing critical feedback loops to the development team.
- Field operations: Take full ownership of equipment deployment with Ukrainian customers.
- Technical integration: Guide customers through the technical onboarding process, ensuring seamless integration into their specific operational workflows.
- Performance analysis: Conduct field testing and analyze system performance data to identify bottlenecks and implement technical solutions.
Requirements
- Solid engineering background with a "builder" mindset: You don’t just identify problems – you create solutions.
- Proven experience operating and maintaining complex hardware (unmanned systems experience is a major plus).
- The ability to look at field data and system behavior critically to drive product reliability.
- High proficiency in English is essential: Translating complex technical concepts into clear language for both developers in Germany and end-users in Ukraine.
Nice to Have
- Military background (for or within the UAF): A significant advantage, providing the tactical context necessary for this role.
- Established network: A strong "buddy network" of veterans or industry peers, allowing you to navigate the local ecosystem with speed and trust.
- Deep understanding of electronic warfare (EW) environments and radio frequency (RF) fundamentals: You should be comfortable navigating GPS-denied environments and understanding signal interference/resilience.
