About the Position
Field Applications Engineer IV - Fab Technology Co-Optimization
Silvaco is seeking a highly skilled Field Applications Engineer IV to join our team in Boise, ID. This role involves working in a hybrid or on-site capacity, focusing on Fab Technology Co-Optimization. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical knowledge of Silvaco product offerings and expertise in the common product creation workflow to advise customers on their simulation efforts and address technical obstacles.
Responsibilities
- Advise customers on simulation efforts and technical obstacles using Silvaco product offerings.
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand technical values and tradeoffs of Silvaco solutions.
- Work closely with key customers to gain insight into their technical roadmaps and challenges.
- Recommend the best matching Silvaco solution based on customer needs.
- Understand customers’ success criteria and implement evaluation plans to demonstrate Silvaco’s solutions.
- Draft technical collateral to help people better understand Silvaco’s technology and differentiation.
- Provide training and instructions to customers to reduce friction in adopting Silvaco tools.
- Collaborate with customers’ implementation teams to troubleshoot problems and propose solutions.
- Optimize customers’ experience with Silvaco tools by promoting configuration improvements and incorporating new features.
- Ensure Silvaco products are properly installed and help validate the installations.
- Make technical presentations for products, use cases, and support status updates to customers.
- Generate ideas for configuration and workflow improvements based on customer obstacles.
- Document evaluation plans and customer support cases in Salesforce CRM.
- Keep up with advancements in key applications and workflow implementation.
Requirements
- Minimum Requirements:
- Masters Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, Solid State Physics, or a semiconductor-related academic program.
- More than 8 years of industry experience in Semiconductor manufacturing, R&D, and/or integrated circuit design processes.
- Demonstrated experience with design, modeling, and/or simulation tool usage.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Intellectually inquisitive with creative problem-solving skills.
- Persistence in tracking complex problems and projects with minimal oversight.
- Ability to prioritize activities and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Application-specific experience in Memory Technology (NAND, DRAM), CMOS Technology, Mechanical Stress Physics, and/or various tool categories.

- Compensation: USD 145,000 - USD 170,000 yearly.
