About the Position

Field Applications Engineer IV - Fab Technology Co-Optimization

Silvaco is seeking a highly skilled Field Applications Engineer IV to join our team in Boise, ID. This role involves optimizing semiconductor technology for memory applications, working closely with customers to understand their technical roadmaps and challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Advise customers on simulation efforts and address technical obstacles using Silvaco product offerings.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand technical values and tradeoffs, and help determine account strategy.
  • Work closely with key customers to recommend the best matching Silvaco solutions.
  • Provide training and instructions to customers to reduce friction in adopting Silvaco tools.
  • Troubleshoot problems, develop solutions, and propose additional features or products based on customer requirements.
  • Generate ideas for configuration and workflow improvements based on customer obstacles.
  • Document evaluation plans and customer support cases in Salesforce CRM.
  • Keep up with advancements in key applications and workflow implementation.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Masters Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, Solid State Physics, or semiconductor related academic program.
    • More than 8 years of industry experience in Semiconductor manufacturing, R&D, and/or integrated circuit design processes.
    • Demonstrated experience with design, modeling, and/or simulation tools.
    • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Intellectually inquisitive with creative problem-solving skills.
    • Persistence in tracking complex problems and projects with minimal oversight.
    • Ability to prioritize activities and deliver projects on time and within budget.
    • Application-specific experience in Memory Technology (NAND, DRAM), CMOS Technology, Mechanical Stress Physics, and more.

We Offer

  • Compensation: USD 145,000 - USD 170,000 yearly.
  • Work Schedule: Hybrid or on-site.
