About the Position
Field Applications Engineer IV - Fab Technology Co-Optimization
Silvaco is seeking a highly skilled Field Applications Engineer IV to join our team in Boise, ID. This role involves working in a hybrid or on-site capacity, focusing on Fab Technology Co-Optimization. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical knowledge of Silvaco product offerings and expertise in the common product creation workflow to advise customers on their simulation efforts and address technical obstacles.
Responsibilities
- Advise customers on simulation efforts and address technical obstacles using Silvaco product offerings.
- Work closely with key customers to understand their technical roadmaps and immediate challenges.
- Recommend the best matching Silvaco solution based on customer needs.
- Collaborate with customers to implement evaluation plans to demonstrate and validate Silvaco’s solutions.
- Provide training and instructions to customers to reduce friction in adopting and using Silvaco tools.
- Collaborate with customers’ implementation teams to troubleshoot problems and propose additional features or products.
- Draft technical collateral to help people better understand Silvaco’s technology and differentiation.
Requirements
- Minimum Requirements:
- Masters Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics Engineering, Solid State Physics, or a semiconductor-related academic program.
- More than 8 years of industry experience in Semiconductor manufacturing, R&D, and/or integrated circuit design processes.
- Demonstrated experience with design, modeling, and/or simulation tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Intellectually inquisitive with creative problem-solving skills.
- Persistence in tracking complex problems and projects with minimal oversight.
- Ability to prioritize activities and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Application-specific experience in Memory Technology (NAND, DRAM), CMOS Technology, Mechanical Stress Physics, and more.
Nice to Have
- Breadth of knowledge with in-depth experience in one or more categories.
- Experience with Commercial TCAD Tools, Classical and ML-Driven Statistical tools, FEA/FEM Multiphysics tools.
- High interest in evolving use of AI into Semiconductor Workflows.
We Offer
- Compensation: USD 145,000 - USD 170,000 yearly.
- Benefits: Equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
- Work Environment: Hybrid work schedule.
