Field Services Technician

About the Position

Join SGS as an entry-level Field Services Technician in Scarborough, ME. Collect environmental samples and provide lab support. Requires high school diploma and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Collect environmental water, soil, and air samples for industrial and municipal clients.
• Communicate with team members, clients, and vendors.
• Travel to sites, maintain equipment, prepare sampling containers, and collect samples.
• Complete documentation requirements.
• Provide routine and technical laboratory support services.

Requirements

• High school diploma (Required)
• Associates Degree in Chemistry or similar scientific discipline (Preferred)
• Language Skills: English (Required)
• Mathematical Skills: Basic (Required)
• Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Basic (Required)
• Computer Skills: Basic (Required)
• Must enjoy working outside year-round, and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to drive up to four hours at a time to sampling sites. Must have a clean driving record.
• Ability to multitask, work in a highly productive environment, and work independently or as part of a small team once fully trained.

Salary

The hourly rate for this position is $20 - $22 per hour (dependent on experience). This position is eligible for overtime pay.
