The Industries & Environment division is a provider of specialized and integrated environmental services. Think of fieldwork and sample collection to on-site measurements, research on specialized studies, and laboratory analyses.

You will contribute to the fight against air pollution in our environment. It is important that strict standards are adhered to. Therefore, you will be responsible for performing basic air quality measurements at manufacturing companies throughout Flanders. In this role, you will always be accompanied by a colleague, allowing you to fully embrace the motto 'with two, it's always more fun than alone!'.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all necessary equipment is present in the vehicle before departing with your colleague to the client. Your destination depends on the schedule prepared by the planning team;
• Upon arrival, bring the measuring equipment upstairs and prepare everything to start the emission measurements. Your day may include gas analysis, dust and heavy metal measurements, dioxin determinations, etc.;
• If you register exceptionally high or low values, there is a possibility that your measuring device is incorrectly set or something else is wrong. Thanks to your technical insight, you will quickly identify the problem and resolve the situation;
• At the end of your day, you enter the measurement data into the computer, label the samples, and bring them to the nearest office in Melsele, Zelzate, or Olen, so that your colleagues can start reporting and interpreting the obtained measurement results.

Requirements

• You have a Bachelor in a technical direction and/or have built a technical background through experience. Our employees with a Groenmanagement education already feel like a fish in the water. School leavers are also welcome, but experience in performing instrumental measurements or working in production environments is a plus;
• You enjoy working outdoors and a bit of rain or wind does not stop you from delivering a good job. Climbing uphill in the blazing sun with heavy measuring equipment is also not a problem;
• You have no fear of heights, so you perform measurements up to 80 meters high without hesitation. Of course, nothing can happen to you, and all these measurements are carried out in the safest conditions;
• You are flexible and have absolutely no 9-to-5 mentality. You realize that the workday is not over until the measurement is fully completed;
• You are a very committed, driven, and stress-resistant person who finds a solution for every problem;
• Independence, responsibility, accuracy, work ethic, and a sense of humor are your main assets. You also have a healthy dose of assertiveness;
• You have a valid driving license B. If you have a driving license C, that is a nice bonus.
