About the Position

Finance & Controlling Manager

Veolia, a global leader in water, waste, and energy, is seeking a Finance & Controlling Manager to join our Hazardous Waste production site in Almelo, Netherlands. In this role, you will be a key player in our organization, combining financial expertise with a broad, business-oriented perspective. You will work closely with the management and be part of the management team (MT), providing advice on financial and strategic issues based on your analyses and insights.

Responsibilities

• Make investment and cost calculations
• Oversee the financial performance of the organization, including cash flow forecasts, working capital monitoring, timely and accurate invoicing and collection, budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis
• Support and advise management and various departments
• Advise the MT on strategic issues
• Lead a team of four within the department
• Accounting and reporting; responsible for reliable and complete financial administration, timely month-end closings, accurate balance reconciliations, and clear group reports, applying your practical knowledge of IFRS and contributing to the quality and further professionalization of our financial processes
• Participate in other operational tasks when necessary, such as during illness or vacation

Requirements

• Minimum completed HBO degree in Business Economics, Accountancy, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in leadership
• Experience with SAP in an industrial environment is desirable
• Excellent ICT, Excel, and data skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Coaching leadership style
• Strong personality and excellent communication skills
• Willingness to assist with operational tasks in addition to strategic work, with a focus on proper task distribution and reliable backup within the team

• A salary of €5,250 to €7,000 gross per month on a full-time basis, depending on knowledge and experience
