Responsibilities

  • Protect profitability, cash flow, and financial discipline across all countries and business channels
  • Ensure breakeven and profitability control by country and business unit
  • Improve working capital efficiency and cash conversion cycle
  • Build strong financial control and management reporting systems
  • Improve planning, forecasting, and financial visibility
  • Support sustainable business growth through clear investment and capital allocation rules
  • Strengthen financial governance and accountability across the organization
  • Financial Leadership & Control
    • Build, standardize, and strengthen the financial control framework across all group entities
    • Ensure accurate and timely management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
    • Monitor profitability, margins, EBITDA, cash flow, and operational KPIs across countries
    • Implement financial policies, controls, and procedures to support scalable international operations
    • Drive financial transparency and accountability throughout the organization
    • Establish performance monitoring systems and financial dashboards for executive management
  • Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
    • Lead group cash flow planning and liquidity management
    • Improve working capital performance, including receivables, payables, and inventory management
    • Optimize cash conversion cycle and funding efficiency
    • Ensure financial discipline and operational control over expenditures and investments
  • Strategic Finance & Capital Raising
    • Develop and execute the company’s financing and capital strategy
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, and external advisors
    • Lead negotiations related to credit facilities, financing structures, and banking partnerships
    • Prepare the business for external investment, fundraising, and financial due diligence
    • Identify and attract potential investors and strategic financial partners
    • Support investment analysis, business case evaluation, and strategic growth initiatives
  • International Finance Management
    • Provide functional leadership to finance teams across 8 countries
    • Standardize financial processes, reporting structures, and governance practices across regions
    • Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax requirements, and corporate standards
    • Support international expansion and operational scaling initiatives
    • Lead and develop a high-performing international finance organization
  • Audit, Compliance & Risk Management
    • Oversee accounting, tax, audit, and compliance activities across the group
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
    • Lead financial risk management initiatives, including currency, liquidity, and operational risk controls
    • Coordinate external audits and maintain relationships with auditors and regulatory bodies
  • Business Partnership & Operational Support
    • Partner with executive leadership to support strategic and operational decision-making
    • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency
    • Support automation, ERP optimization, and finance process improvements
    • Participate in transformation and performance improvement initiatives across the business

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, including Finance Director or Group CFO positions
  • Proven experience managing international finance operations across multiple countries and legal entities
  • Strong background in financial control, FP&A, cash flow management, and working capital optimization
  • Experience raising capital, managing banking relationships, and working with investors or investment funds
  • Proven track record of building scalable financial processes and governance structures
  • Experience working in dynamic, fast-growing, retail, distribution, manufacturing, or operationally intensive businesses
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
  • Experience leading and developing multicultural finance teams
  • Experience with ERP systems and finance automation initiatives
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification is considered a strong advantage
  • Languages:
    • English - fluent / professional working proficiency
    • Russian - fluent or native level (mandatory)
    • Greek - would be considered a strong advantage
  • Strong commercial and strategic thinking
  • Advanced financial analysis and decision-making capabilities
  • Deep understanding of international financial operations and controls
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
  • Excellent leadership and team development capabilities
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and execution
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced international environment
