Your Mission
The mission of the Finance Intern is to support the finance team by providing assistance with financial data entry, transaction recording, and maintaining accurate financial records. The intern will contribute to the month-end closing process, assist in reconciling accounts, and participate in audits and compliance reviews. Through this internship, the intern will gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, enhance their understanding of accounting principles, and develop their proficiency in financial software systems, all while contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the month-end closing process by completing or providing necessary documentation;
- Support financial data entry, recording transactions, and maintaining financial records in accounting software;
- Assist in reconciling bank statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other financial accounts to ensure the financial data accuracy and completeness;
- Participate in audits and compliance reviews by providing documentation, conducting research, and assisting with audit preparations;
- Support finance team members in ad-hoc projects, special assignments, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Required Skills and Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Currently pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field;
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial regulations;
- Knowledge of financial statements and their components;
- Attention to detail;
- Enthusiasm for learning and willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities;
- Secondary Skills
- Previous internship experience in finance or accounting is preferred but not required;
- Familiarity with financial software systems is a plus.
