About the Company

East Europe Foundation (EEF) is a Ukrainian charitable organization based in Kyiv, whose mission is to transform Ukraine into a state that serves people. Since 2008, EEF has invested more than $30 million in development projects, including over $7 million through more than 400 grants for local NGOs. EEF implements economic and social development programs with the support of international donors, local authorities, and Ukrainian and international companies operating in Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial reports on the use of funds for programs/projects in accordance with agreements with donors.
• Generation of requests for funding from donors and forwarding these documents to the supervisor for subsequent processing.
• Carrying out reconciliation of project account balances, accounting and managerial accounting information, and subgrants spending in accordance with approved procedures.
• Carrying out reconciliation of all actual costs to verify their compliance with the classifications of donors’ budgets.
• Providing auditors with the necessary information in accordance with the professional responsibilities and on request of the Finance and Administration Director.
• Carrying out the periodic inventory of contracts with donors for the terms of their duration, registration of all of the changes to agreements, and classification of agreements in accordance with the areas of activity of EEF (programs/projects).
• Preparing information for management reporting in electronic form in accordance with the pre-defined criteria.
• Taking part in the preparation of statements on the financial condition of the organization, drafting of total budgets of EEF and budgets of separate programs/projects of donors (on request of a supervisor).
• Providing documents/copies of documents and information on the use of funds in accordance with the donors’ agreements (on request of donors’ representatives).

Requirements

• Higher education in economics
• Work experience in a non-profit organization or an international organization for at least 3 years
• Fluency in the Ukrainian language and proficiency in English language on an advanced level
• Experience in reporting and auditing international projects
