About the Position
We are looking for a Financial Accountant for our client, a growing international research and development (R&D) company with a friendly, family-like atmosphere and British capital. The role focuses on managing financial information within the internal system and coordinating data with an external accounting office responsible for statutory reporting.
Responsibilities
- Current legal and formal verification and registration of purchase invoices and other cost documents.
- Managing supplier settlements, including timely initiation of bank payments and reconciling balances.
- Monitoring receivables (credit controlling), recording customer payments, sending reminders, and explaining discrepancies.
- Daily operational reconciliation of bank statements and accounts.
- Supervising interim cost and revenue settlements (accruals/prepayments) and maintaining fixed asset records.
- Settling warehouse operations and monthly inventory valuation and reconciliation.
- Analyzing payroll reports from an external HR and payroll firm and entering accounting decrees.
- Processing delegations and employee expense reimbursement requests.
- Timely submission of documentation to the external accounting office and monthly reconciliation of ERP system data with the office's turnover and balance statements.
- Handling the operational volume of documents (approx. 140-150 purchase invoices, 30-50 sales invoices, and approx. 150 transfers monthly).
Requirements
- Higher education or currently studying in finance or accounting.
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in a similar financial accounting position.
- Practical knowledge of ERP systems used for accounting purposes.
- Good knowledge of accounting regulations and basic tax regulations.
- Fluency in English (minimum solid level B2, C1/C2 is welcome) along with knowledge of business and accounting terminology.
- Proficiency in Polish to facilitate daily collaboration.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry (warehouse management) or in organizations implementing research and development (R&D) projects is a plus.
- Accuracy, excellent work organization, independence, and timeliness under pressure.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model.
