About the Position

BRDO is an independent expert and analytical center that develops and implements state policies and reforms. We are looking for a Financial Director / CFO who will be responsible for the strategic and operational financial management of the organization: from budgeting and forecasting to donor reporting, treasury, and audit readiness.

Expectations:

1. Predictability of Financial Planning and Budget Control

  • Established regular budgeting cycle for the organization and projects (plan–fact–forecast) with defined periodicity and formats.
  • Financial KPIs are identified and applied for management decisions (liquidity, budget variances, cost efficiency).

2. Enhanced Management Accounting and Reporting

  • Unified rules for financial analytics (projects / donors / articles / cost centers) and their systematic application.
  • Regular management reports package for the leadership (expenses, P&L/analytics, cash flow, donor analytics).

3. Treasury Discipline and Commitment Control

  • Working payment calendar and clear rules for payment approvals.
  • Cash flow forecast and regular liquidity review.

4. Quality Donor Reporting and Compliance

  • Donor financial reporting is prepared on time and meets the requirements of donors and stakeholders.
  • Accounting and tax control is ensured in interaction with the accounting department and lawyers.

5. Optimization of Financial Processes and Audit Readiness

  • Updated financial policies and procedures; reduced manual operations in key processes.
  • Audits are organized and supported; recommendations are implemented and tracked.

Responsibilities

  • Budgeting, financial planning, plan–fact, forecast.
  • Management accounting and management reporting.
  • Treasury: cash flow, payment calendar, payment approvals.
  • Donor reporting, interaction with auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Financial policies, procedures, and automation of financial processes.

Requirements

  • Higher education in finance / accounting / economics.
  • Experience as CFO or Chief Accountant for at least 5 years.
  • Deep knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, financial control, and reporting.
  • Practical experience with IFRS.
  • Experience in treasury (cash flow management) and audit processes.
  • Ability to work with donors and complex multi-project structures is a significant advantage.
