About the Position

BRDO is an independent expert and analytical center that develops and implements state policies and reforms. We are looking for a Financial Manager who will be responsible for financial support of donor projects, budgeting, plan-fact/forecast, donor reporting, treasury processes, and audit preparation in collaboration with the accounting department, project managers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

1. Planning and Budgets

  • Analysis of project budgets (plan-fact), preparation of proposals for adjustments.
  • Preparation of funding applications, control of project fund balances.
  • Calculation of available funds for current payments, initiation of currency operations.

2. Accounting and Reporting

  • Formation of financial reports for donors and management.
  • Preparation of analytical materials on budget execution.
  • Verification of completeness of primary documentation from suppliers and contractors.

3. Contracts and Suppliers

  • Participation in the preparation and verification of contracts (Individual Entrepreneurs, Public Procurement, Legal Entities) for compliance with project budgets.
  • Verification of acts of completed work/services for compliance with donor requirements.
  • Coordination of financial documents in the "Vchasno" system.

4. Donors and Internal Communication

  • Interaction with program, operational, and logistics departments to ensure the targeted use of donor funds.

5. Events and Coordination

  • Financial support of events (trainings, seminars, meetings) in coordination with logisticians and program managers.
  • Preparation of consultants' timesheets (if necessary).

6. Banking and Currency Operations

  • Preparation of documentation for crediting currency funds for projects.
  • Formation of registers of current payments with references to supporting documents.

7. Audit and Control

  • Participation in internal and external audits.
  • Implementation of auditor recommendations within the scope of one's competence.

Requirements

Required

  • Higher education in finance / accounting / economics.
  • Mandatory experience in NGOs / charitable or donor organizations.
  • Experience in financial support of donor projects and preparation of financial reporting.
  • Confident proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, attention to detail.
  • Understanding of budgeting principles, plan-fact analysis, donor compliance.
  • Experience in participating in audits.

Preferred

  • Experience working with international donors (USAID, EU, GIZ, SIDA, UNICEF, etc.).
  • Experience working with electronic document management (in particular "Vchasno").
  • English language at a level sufficient to work with donor documentation.
