About the Role
The Finance Applications team is part of the Core Applications unit within DNV’s Global Shared Services IT. The team focuses on establishing, maintaining, and supporting a full overview of finance applications to ensure stable end-to-end operations across the globe. With Oracle eBusiness Suite at its core, additional products that complement key processes such as purchasing, banking, credit collection, and invoicing are also part of the finance suite.
The Oracle Technical Analyst is part of the Invoice and Cash team within the Finance Applications unit, whose main locations are Gdynia, Poland, and Pune, India. The team works as one unit regardless of location, and work is prioritized based on customer needs and skills, not location. The Invoice and Cash team covers systems and solutions related to Cash Management, Invoicing/E-invoicing, Collections, and Banking, with the main product supported being Oracle eBusiness Suite, and requires close input with other FA streams.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Finance Applications solutions are maintained in line with the global template approach, while supporting country-specific requirements where relevant.
- Proactively collaborate with team members and other Finance Applications teams to resolve customer issues efficiently and with a high level of quality.
- Work closely with Solution Architects and Global Process Owners to discuss and align on solutions before development.
- Engage with key stakeholders to discuss and present the current solutions supported by the team from an overall perspective.
- Deliver requirements that are properly developed, documented, tested, and implemented in accordance with agreed standards and best practices.
- Follow established development best practices, ensuring that documentation is accurate, high quality, and consistently maintained.
- Effectively engage with customers and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Requirements
- Required Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on Oracle eBusiness Suite (eBS) technical experience, including:
- Complex Integrations (APIs, Web Services REST/SOAP, Interfaces, ISG Web Services)
- WebADI (Web Applications Desktop Integrator)
- Oracle APEX Development
- XML-based formats (e.g., UBL, CII)
- Oracle Forms Development & Customization (FRICEW Components)
- Strong understanding of Oracle Financials Modules (AP, AR, GL, etc.)
- Working experience with SQL & PL/SQL
- Experience with finance reporting and business processes
- Proven ability to analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Experience across the full lifecycle (implementation and support)
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, resolve, mitigate, and escalate issues effectively
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality results within agreed timelines
- Customer-focused mindset with experience in providing high-quality support
- Fluent in written and spoken English
