We’re looking for a FinOps Team Lead to help us create leading-edge technology solutions for our customers and work with potential and existing customers and our AWS technical counterparts. Ideally, you possess a deep understanding of AWS cost optimization strategies and the communication skills needed to translate complex cloud financial data into actionable insights for our clients.

You’ll be involved in the business and technology aspects of our engagements and will serve as Automat-it's technical spearhead.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of FinOps Analysts
• Be the first point of contact for Automat-it customers regarding their AWS billing and consumption data
• Work closely with Automat-it customers to help them understand, monitor, and analyze their cloud consumption data
• Suggest cost optimization opportunities in customers’ environments, and implement or supervise the implementation of the recommendations
• Create and manage data alerts and budgets based on data models to identify anomalies in cloud spend
• Create and deliver ad-hoc reports and dashboards
• Onboard new customers to Automat-it services
• Have an impact on internal FinOps tool development

Requirements

• 2+ years of managerial experience
• Working experience with public cloud environments, preferably AWS
• Understanding of cloud services, architectures, and tools, preferably in AWS
• Knowledge of cloud billing structure and various payment models (e.g. PAYG vs. Reserved)
• Ability to analyze multiple volumes of data and generate meaningful insights
• Ability to translate reporting into actionable recommendations
• Customer orientation value, interpersonal skills, and strong communication skills
• Written and verbal communication skills in English
• Practical experience in FinOps or similar cloud-related roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Economics, or Operations Research - advantage
• Working experience with cost management tools - advantage
• Cloud/FinOps certifications - advantage
