We are seeking a Firmware Validation and Testing Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for deriving test requirements, planning and executing tests, and collaborating with hardware and software teams.

Responsibilities

Derive test requirements from system-level specifications
Plan and execute firmware and system validation tests
Develop and automate test cases (Python, C)
Set up and maintain lab and test environments (including RF communication)
Perform electrical measurements (e.g. oscilloscopes)
Analyze and debug issues at firmware and system level
Ensure proper interaction between hardware and software (system-level testing)
Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines (continuous testing in operation)
Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and system teams
Lead and coordinate 3–5 junior engineers
Plan and distribute tasks within the team

Qualifications

Strong experience in firmware validation / embedded testing
Proficiency in Python and C
Experience with system-level testing (hardware + software)
Hands-on experience with lab equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, RF equipment)
Understanding of IoT, Sub-GHz communication, and/or RF protocols
Experience with test automation and CI/CD
Initial experience in leading or mentoring engineers
Excellent English skills

Nice to Have

Experience with Software Defined Radio (SDR)
Knowledge of Zigbee or similar IoT standards
Experience in software security reviews (incl. AI tools)
TRACS knowledge
JavaCard development
Understanding of logical attacks on operating systems
