About the Role
Our client is transforming how businesses manage finance, accounting, and taxes-replacing outdated, manual workflows with real-time automation and clarity.
They’re seeking a founding full-stack engineer to partner directly with the CEO and product designer in building and scaling a next-generation financial platform trusted by hundreds of startups. You’ll own end-to-end product delivery-from backend logic to front-end polish-and help define the company’s engineering culture and architecture.
Responsibilities
- Ship secure, scalable, and performant code across the full stack
- Build and maintain banking and accounting integrations with high data reliability
- Partner with leadership to design and deliver impactful new features
- Improve testing, observability, security, and deployment practices
- Contribute to long-term architectural decisions and tech strategy
- Work asynchronously in a trust-based, outcome-driven culture
Requirements
- 4+ years of full-stack experience in production environments
- Strong proficiency with Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Redis, and Sidekiq
- Front-end experience with Stimulus, Turbo, Tailwind, or similar JS frameworks
- Pragmatic problem-solver who values simplicity and ownership
- Excited by early-stage environments and autonomy
