Front-End Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a Front-End Developer with expertise in React and TypeScript/JavaScript to join our team in New York City, USA. We are building a trading platform for an innovative international top-tier hedge fund from the ground up. Compensation for NYC is $150,000-$170,000 USD Gross per year.

Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of various applications
• Considerable and proven experience in React
• Good working knowledge of end-user and server-side data processing techniques
• Good understanding of SDLC and agile development methodologies
• Requires working hybrid (3 days from office in NY)

Requirements

• Must have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Expert-level proficiency in React (or equivalent modern UI framework) with TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of React UI design patterns and commonly used TypeScript/JavaScript patterns
  • Proven experience with multiple global state management libraries (e.g. Redux, Zustand, MobX, Recoil, or similar)
  • Strong passion for UI styling - deep knowledge of CSS, CSS-in-JS, and design systems
  • Strong background in problem solving and debugging complex front-end issues
  • Expertise integrating UI with backend services (REST APIs, WebSockets)
• Nice to have
  • Experience with ag-Grid for high-performance data table rendering
  • Familiarity with React Query (TanStack Query) for server-state management
  • Experience with Node.js and/or NestJS for backend or full-stack work
  • Familiarity with AWS and CI/CD pipelines
