Front-end Developer (React)

About the Position

Established in 1974, Galaxy Control Systems is a global leader in the access control industry and an award-winning defense contractor that developed a surveillance and tracking system for the US Military.

Currently, we are in search of a Front-end Developer (React), who is a self-starter, able to work independently while at the same time, collaborating with back-end development teams. The role is available in Kyiv/REMOTE.

Responsibilities

• Gather and understand business needs and user requirements
• Create solution designs that satisfy and even exceed business and user requirements and expectations
• Ability to see the project through from conception to completion
• Envision, design, develop, test, and deliver professional, business-class web applications
• Writing maintainable, testable code
• Develop and conduct unit-tests for complete code coverage and validation
• Deliver robust, solid, and high-performance final products
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair defects and bugs that are reported
• Develop new enhancements and product features based on feedback from key stakeholders
• Ability to effectively communicate across teams and roles
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, agile, collaborative environment
• Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment
• Willingness to learn new technologies

Requirements

• Deep understanding of Web/Browser-based intranet and internet application UX and UI design paradigms
• Capable of designing and developing modern, intuitive, and visually appealing HTML5 responsive web applications
• Must have a creative mind, with excellent UI design skills and the ability to think outside of the box
• Experience developing Single-Page Applications (SPAs) using modern, leading JavaScript front-end frameworks
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks
• Ability to select the best technologies to employ for individual projects
• Must have strong working knowledge and experience with:
  • HTML5
  • CSS styling
  • Bootstrap
  • JavaScript
  • React, Angular, Vue or other modern JavaScript front-end frameworks
  • Apache and/or NGINX
  • Self-Hosting services
  • SSL/TLS
• Strong analytical skills
• Demonstrate ability to deliver projects on time, with high quality
• Must possess strong communication skills with a solid grasp of the English language
