About the Position
Our client is a full-service telecommunications provider that develops and delivers multimedia and internet services for residential customers. It supplies services to independent cable network operators and utility companies via a fiber-optic backbone and also operates directly as an internet and TV service provider in selected regions.
We are looking for a Frontend Developer with 6+ years of experience in React/Next.js to join our team in Bulgaria on a hybrid work model.
You will own the customer-facing layer of the client’s new BSS platform. This covers the Second Brand eCommerce storefront - product catalog, address qualification UI, checkout, customer authentication, and payment UI. You will work closely with the Backend Engineer on API contracts defined in Sprint 0 and be responsible for meeting the LCP and FCP performance NFRs agreed with the client.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the Second Brand storefront using React / Next.js with the Medusa.js Storefront SDK.
- Implement the product catalog, address qualification flow, and full checkout integrated with the Medusa backend.
- Build the Adyen Drop-in payment UI supporting Twint and credit card payment methods.
- Define and consume REST API contracts with the Backend Engineer from Sprint 0.
- Ensure all new code meets the 90% unit test coverage requirement enforced in CI/CD.
- Validate storefront against NFRs: LCP and FCP under 1 second per sprint acceptance criteria.
- Deliver sprint runbooks and handover documentation alongside code each sprint.
Requirements
- React / Next.js: 6+ years. Deep understanding of SSR, SSG, hydration, and rendering strategies.
- TypeScript: Production experience. Strict typing, interface design, generic patterns.
- REST API integration: Experienced designing and consuming API contracts in collaboration with backend teams.
- Tailwind CSS: Confident building accessible, responsive UIs. WCAG 2.1 awareness.
- Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright or equivalent. Coverage-driven mindset.
- Web performance: Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse, SSR optimization. Familiar with LCP/FCP budgets.
- Git / CI/CD: GitOps workflows, PR reviews, automated quality gates.
- Upper-intermediate English level.
- Ability to visit the office occasionally.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Medusa.js or any headless commerce platform (Vendure, Commercetools, Shopify Hydrogen).
- Adyen Drop-in or PSP payment UI integration experience.
- Kubernetes-deployed frontend experience.
- German or French language skills.
