About the Position

Full Stack Developer (Shopify/Node)

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Full Stack Developer (Shopify/Node) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia. Our client is a company that provides premium products for hair treatment.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute storefront improvements (Liquid, theme customization) and backend integrations
• Develop and maintain APIs and Node.js/TypeScript services supporting ecommerce features
• Optimize performance and reliability of existing stack; propose architectural improvements
• Build internal tooling to accelerate team development and operations
• Review code following PR-based workflow; contribute to CI/CD pipeline

Requirements

• Shopify: theme development (Liquid), app/extension architecture (2–3+ years hands-on)
• Backend: Node.js + TypeScript (production-level), REST APIs, third-party integrations
• Tooling: Git workflow, automated testing, CI/CD (GitHub Actions or equivalent)

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with WordPress development
• Knowledge of PHP
• AWS or similar cloud platforms (deployments, serverless)
• Databases: SQL or NoSQL (practical experience)
