Job description

About the Position

We are hiring a Full-stack Web Developer to join our dynamic team at Kainjoo. You’ll be a core part of Kainjoo’s web factory - building and launching sites that look great, perform well, and work reliably for clients across industries. You’ll own the full cycle from setup to go-live, and you’ll know how to handle the messy reality of real-world CMS projects with confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Build and configure CMS-based websites using page builders, custom themes, and plugins
  • Set up and configure e-commerce stores including payment gateways, shipping, and product management
  • Integrate third-party tools: analytics, tag management, SEO, email marketing, forms, and CRM
  • Configure and maintain CDN, DNS, SSL, and security rules
  • Handle server and hosting management (staging, production, backups, performance)
  • Set up multisite and multi-language environments where required
  • Perform SEO Level 1 setup: sitemaps, redirects, structured data, meta configuration
  • Conduct site launches, go-live checklists, and post-launch support
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, plugin conflicts, and performance issues

Requirements

Personality

  • You’re thorough - you follow checklists, you test before you ship, and you don’t cut corners
  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity and can figure things out independently
  • You take pride in clean setups, even the ones clients never see
  • You communicate clearly when something is out of scope or needs more time
  • You stay up to date with the WordPress and web ecosystem

Experience

  • 3+ years of CMS-based web development experience (WordPress or similar)
  • Proficiency with a major page builder (Elementor, Divi, or equivalent)
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (WooCommerce, Shopify, or similar)
  • Familiarity with CDN and DNS configuration (Cloudflare or equivalent)
  • Basic PHP or scripting knowledge for custom functionality
  • Experience with multisite or multi-language CMS setups
  • Good understanding of web performance (caching, image optimisation, Core Web Vitals)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with modern no-code/low-code tools (Framer, Webflow)
  • Familiarity with headless CMS or decoupled frontend architectures
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools (GA4, Matomo, GTM)
  • Knowledge of email marketing integrations (Mailchimp, Brevo, or transactional email services)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, IT, or equivalent practical experience
  • Relevant CMS, hosting, or e-commerce platform certifications are a plus
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus
