Responsibilities

Backend & Data Engineering

Build and maintain Node.js backend services supporting content migration pipelines.
Design and implement data transformation layers that map legacy CMS content to modern target formats, including Arc XP.
Develop reliable and maintainable solutions for complex data-processing workflows.

System Stability

Debug and resolve data inconsistencies between source and target systems.
Investigate technical issues across existing applications and data pipelines.
Quickly understand, navigate, and contribute to established codebases.

Frontend Development

Build reusable React component libraries following Arc design patterns.
Optimize frontend performance and maintain a clean, scalable component architecture.
Ensure applications meet high standards for accessibility, responsiveness, and usability.

Autonomy & Ownership

Work as an autonomous, expert member of the engineering team.
Take ownership of technical challenges from investigation through implementation.
Contribute to engineering decisions and help deliver high-quality solutions with minimal supervision.

Requirements & Qualifications

Core Stack

4+ years of professional experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
3+ years of experience developing backend applications with Node.js.
3+ years of hands-on React development experience.

Web & API Literacy

Strong understanding of REST APIs and modern web development.
Knowledge of Core Web Vitals and frontend performance optimization.
Understanding of web analytics and accessibility standards.

Tools & Infrastructure

Practical experience with Redis, including caching, pub/sub, and queues.
Basic experience with Docker and containerization.

Code Craftsmanship

Strong understanding of software design patterns.
Commitment to clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
Good knowledge of software development best practices.

Languages

English proficiency at B2 level or above.

Nice to Have

Experience working with Headless CMS platforms such as Directus or Strapi.
Hands-on experience implementing event analytics using tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, or Piano.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and performance optimization for content-heavy applications.
Previous experience migrating data between different content platforms or databases.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Experience with custom React-based frameworks.
