Game Economy Manager

About the Position

Ilyon is a global leader in mobile gaming, developing some of the most successful casual games played by millions worldwide. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Game Economy Manager to design and optimize in-game economies, ensuring engaging progression, balanced rewards, and effective monetization strategies.

Your Role:

• Design and refine economic frameworks for in-game features, virtual currencies, and player progression.
• Analyze key KPIs, identify trends, and make data-driven adjustments to optimize retention and monetization.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to align economic mechanics with game systems.
• Design and run A/B tests, simulations, and predictive models to refine feature balance and live operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and refine economic frameworks for in-game features, virtual currencies, and player progression.
• Analyze key KPIs, identify trends, and make data-driven adjustments to optimize retention and monetization.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to align economic mechanics with game systems.
• Design and run A/B tests, simulations, and predictive models to refine feature balance and live operations.

Requirements

• Background in economics and data analysis or science, preferably with experience in casual game economy.
• Advantage for experience in game economy design and feature monetization.
• An advantage for SQL proficiency; experience with Python libraries and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is also a plus.
• Strategic thinking with a product-data-driven mindset, understanding how the economy influences gameplay and KPIs.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to economic design decisions.
