GameRant is looking for eager and talented Gaming Streamer & Creator Specialists to join our team. At GameRant, we are focused on covering the newest developments and topics in the gaming industry. We're looking for writers who are well-versed in creator news, platform developments, and gaming culture to contribute consistent news and features content to our site. The ideal candidate continuously monitors social channels (X, TikTok, Twitch, YouTube) and creator communities to scope out breaking news, controversies, and viral moments in the industry. If you share a passion for gaming, a love of writing, and a willingness to learn then this is the role for you!
Responsibilities
- Be a dedicated and consistent contributor to the site.
- Contribute news and features content related to a variety of gaming streamer & creator topics.
- Have strong editorial instincts and ideate your own topics regularly.
- Identify compelling writing angles and detect emerging stories before they reach mainstream media.
- Research and source topics proficiently.
- Bring original topics and a plethora of gaming knowledge to the table.
- Work under tight deadlines and submit articles for publication on time.
- Report to the Lead Editor and implement feedback efficiently.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to produce exquisite content.
Requirements
- Core Skills:
- Working experience in gaming journalism or a related field.
- Excellent source discovery and fast news judgment.
- Strong understanding of creator ecosystems and social media trends.
- Self-directed topic pitching.
- Passion for all things gaming.
- Experience with SEO practices.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with a custom CMS.
