About the Position
ING Hubs Poland is hiring!
We are looking for a GCP Platform Engineer to join our team in Warsaw and Katowice, Poland. As a GCP Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining ING’s Data Analytics Platform on Google Cloud.
Responsibilities
- Designing, building, and maintaining ING’s Data Analytics Platform on GCP
- Supporting platform tenants and ensuring smooth onboarding
- Maintaining and improving key platform components
- Contributing to platform architecture and experimenting with new technologies
- Developing cloud-ready and IaC-based solutions
- Ensuring proper monitoring and alerting for all platform services
- Participating in on-call support to maintain platform reliability
- Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience/knowledge with GCP
- Infrastructure as Code mindset (we use Terraform with Azure DevOps pipelines)
- Experience with public cloud (preferably GCP) and have built platforms using managed services such as GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Dataproc, GCS
- Ability to program in Python or Go
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting
- Understanding of secure authentication and encryption concepts (e.g., OIDC, KMS, SSL/TLS)
- Ability to clearly express ideas and elaborate complex concepts through design documents and discussions
- English proficiency at B2 level or above

- Experience with distributed computing and large-scale data processing on GCP
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Ability to optimize code and infrastructure
